White paper: Software defines premium — the 7 Pillars

Products

Five products, one discipline.

Diagnostics software developed, tested, verified and deployed for serial production. Three run inside the vehicle's control units, two outside it, and all of them speak the same protocols. Build on them instead of starting from zero.

Where the five products sitInside the vehicle's control unit: Diag Com Stack, Bootloader and Encrypt, together the secure update suite. Off-board: Diag Studio in the workshop and the cloud, talking to the control unit over UDS and DoIP, and Dolphin in the test chain, verifying the software that runs in it.In the vehicle · ECUOff-boardDiag Com StackUDS server · CAN · DoIPBootloaderSecure programmingEncryptHSM root of trustDiag StudioWorkshop · cloudDolphinTest · CIUDS · DoIPSoftwaredownloadVerifiesSecure update suite

Off-board

In the workshop, the cloud and the test chain.

Diag Studio

Off-board

60+markets on one workshop system, NEVS

The OEM/aftermarket diagnostic application — read ECU fault codes, run diagnostic sequences, log vehicle health.

Proven inNDS, built on Diag Studio, rolled out to every NEVS workshop in 60+ markets

Talks toUDS, DoIP, SOVD, VCI and software over the air — the modules Lynk & Co licensed into its cloud services, in production for Lynk & Co and Lotus

Licensed asa licence with adaptation and integration, a reuse licence for functionality you already run, or the foundation of a system Diadrom builds and maintains

Dolphin

Off-board

3 days → 1 hrelease build, every test case automated

Automated software verification and test automation — closes the loop between what was specified and what actually runs.

Proven inMitsubishi Electric: 100% of test cases automated, release build from three days to one hour

Talks toCI chains, virtual and real ECUs; test configuration built in the GUI and version-controlled

Licensed aslicences alongside a Diadrom development team, or with a bounded project

Embedded · Secure update suite

Inside the control unit, bought as one.

Diag Com Stack, Bootloader and Encrypt shipped together in the Volvo Cars secure software-update delivery. Each can also be licensed on its own.

0units bricked by Diadrom's software since 2016

Bootloader

Embedded

~550test cases across ~30 releases

The Diadrom Autotech Bootloader — secure programming, hardened by serial production.

Proven inVolvo Cars suppliers: zero units bricked by Diadrom's software since 2016, ~550 test cases across ~30 releases

Talks toUDS 0x34/0x36/0x37 transfer, signed and encrypted packages, an HSM root of trust

Licensed asa licence with adaptation to your MCU and OEM requirements, or a reuse licence for a new vehicle manufacturer

How our products are licensed

Three ways to take a product.

  1. 01

    Licence with adaptation

Diadrom adapts the product to your MCU, platform or OEM requirements, and you license the result — the form the Bootloader has taken with Volvo Cars' suppliers since 2016.

    Secure software update→
  2. 02

    Reuse licence

An implementation you already run, licensed for a new manufacturer or platform, with no development project attached — as Nippon Seiki did with the Bootloader in 2022.

    The release→
  3. 03

    Foundation of a delivered system

Diadrom builds your system on the product and maintains it in production — NEVS's workshop diagnostics and Lynk & Co's cloud services are both built this way.

    NEVS NDS→

Licences are perpetual or term-based, agreed per programme, and other forms can be agreed. Source-code escrow is available. Support and further development run under a maintenance agreement.

What a licence does not include is the engineering to make diagnostics and reflashing work on your architecture, in serial production, under your security model.

Need the team as well? How to engage→

Proven in the field

The same components run in 250,000+ serial-production vehicles.
